Jan. 24: Patsy George, “What Jane Addams taught me and other reflections on Peace Action by women.”

Patsy George is a philanthropist, public speaker and former social worker who is a lifelong volunteer and dedicated advocate for marginalized communities.  She is a Women’s Rights activist and is currently a board member with Crossroads International.  She is the past president of the United Nations Association of Canada (Vancouver).  She was awarded the Order of Canada, the Order of British Columbia as well as the Queen’s Jubilee Medal for her work.  She also received an Honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of the Fraser Valley.
