Come and watch this inspiring film about a country that abolished its army 70 years ago. Costa Rica demilitarized in 1948 and it announced this year it will be the first country to completely decarbonize – find out why peace is essential to tackling the climate crisis.
Screening will be followed by a discussion of the Canadian context led by Tamara Lorincz, PhD candidate at the Balsillie School of International Affairs at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo and a member of tWILPF.
