WILPF Canada is participating in the No Fighter Jets Coalition’s #DropTheF35Deal Weekend of Action from Friday, January 6 to Sunday, January 8. We are calling on the Trudeau government to cancel its plans to buy 16 Lockheed Martin F-35 joint strike fighters for $7 billion. We believe that the Trudeau government should not buy costly carbon-intensive warplanes for bombing other countries, but should instead invest in affordable housing, healthcare, climate action, and the care economy.
