WILPF members supported the International Women’s Day March in Vancouver. Co-chair Ellen and member Joy walked in unity and held our banner “Demilitarize Decarbonize Decolonize.”
WILPF members also participated in the protests against military spending outside the CDA Institute conference “The Road to 5%” and outside the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa. We held our banner “Cut Military Spending, Invest in a Care Economy.” Member Tamara participated in a panel event “Holding the Bully’s Coat: Canada, NATO and Trump’s U.S. Empire”.
