Our monthly meeting is cancelled to allow members to attend the Teach-In sponsored by the World Peace Forum in Vancouver that day. We encourage everyone to attend this important event.

Women’s Power to Stop War is the global Anniversary Movement of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF), aimed at strengthening, connecting and celebrating 100 years of peace-building from a gender perspective.
Please note that the time will be 10:30-2:00. Members are encouraged to bring pot luck items for lunch. As well, Jillian Skeet and Marlene LeGates will report on their trip to Bogotá, Colombia, to attend the first WILPF regional Meeting of the Americas, April 23-17.

Eiichiro Ochiai, born in Tokyo, received his Ph.D in Japan; came to Canada in 1969, taught chemistry at UBC, and then taught at Juniata College, Pennsylvania. After retiring in 2005, he returned to Vancouver. He has published 10 books on various topics, and about 100 papers in chemistry and relations areas.
