Homes for All – Draw the Line, Vancouver!

“The housing crisis is hitting people in Canada hard. On the campaign trail, Carney promised to tackle housing unaffordability by creating an entity called Build Canada Homes (BCH) — a new Crown Corporation that would “act as a developer to build affordable housing at scale.”
If we want to tackle the housing crisis, we need to start by demanding BCH’s mandate expand to ensure affordability is the #1 priority — and that people, not corporate developers, are the first to benefit.
On September 20th, we will be participating in the Draw the Line march in Vancouver. This march represents a coalition of many organizations and communities coming together to demand that Canada stand up for Indigenous rights, labour equity, climate action, migrant and economic justice, and peace! Our housing advocacy is aligned with the calls for economic justice.”
