WILPF-Canada deeply mourns the passing of our beloved member Esther Fyk of Dauphin, Manitoba. Esther joined our organization over five years ago. She was committed to environmental sustainability, climate action, peace and gender equality and understood the connections among these important issues. Esther was concerned about the climate impacts of war and militarism. She came to our monthly meetings, donated to our activities, and translated our material into French. Esther was always positive force and focused on the joy in life despite terrible tragedies happening around the world. She left the world a better place and will always be in our hearts and memories.
