WILPF calls for cuts to military spending in solidarity with Global Campaign

WILPF Canada joins the Global Campaign Against Military Spending led by the International Peace Bureau. War is spreading like wildfire as the climate crisis and biodiversity loss accelerates. In response, many governments including Canada are making things worse by drastically increasing military spending and re-arming rather than pursuing peace, disarmament, and international cooperation for sustainable development.

From April 10 to May 9, WILPF Canada will be supporting the annual Global Campaign Against Military Spending (GDAMS). If you oppose war and militarization and believe in alternatives based in peace and justice, join us this #GDAMS and demand major cuts of military spending!

We call on the Carney government to cut military spending and invest in urgent social needs of Canadians and climate action.
