As WILPF turns 111, we carry forward a legacy born in resistance and rooted in hope. In 1915, women crossed borders to demand peace in a world already torn by war. Today, that world is not behind us: with defence spending returning to levels last seen at the end of the Cold War, reaching $2.88 trillion in 2025. Our message must be clear: peace cannot be built while war is funded. This year’s anniversary isn’t just about celebrating our history. It’s a call to act: Stop Funding War and Start Building Peace.
